Owensboro campus holds graduation commencement!

Daymar College – Owensboro held its 2009 graduation commencement on Saturday, July 18th at Noon.  “We are so delighted to celebrate this achievement with our students and their families,” said Dr. Pamela Moon, Campus Director. “This is one of our largest graduation classes and we anticipate 1,600 to 1,800 to be in attendance.” 

 

The ceremony recognized the achievements of our graduates and special awards including:  The Outstanding Student Awards ( Debra Burklow, Marilyn Ebelhar, Kathy A. Miller, Rebecca Peaches and Keesha Stinnett), The President’s Award (Stephen Williams) and The Perserverance Award (Brandi Frantz).  Tonya Robinson (Lead Instructor of the Allied Health programs) and Kim Bivens (Massage Therapy instructor) were recognized by the graduating class and received the Susan C. Clark Instructor(s) of the Year Award. 

 

Brandy Eggers, who passed away during the school year and was 10 weeks away from completing her program was also remembered.  Brandy’s parents were in attendance to receive her diploma.  The ceremony also included a moving rendition of the National Anthem performed by LaTasha Shemwell, Sr. Admissions Representative.

The commencement took place at Good Shepherd Church located at 3031 Bittel Road in Owensboro.
